Hoo’s coming to dinner? Lets do some detective work to find out about the owl species at China Camp and what… or who… are their favorite foods. During this month’s program, Junior Rangers will have the opportunity to explore what these nocturnal creatures eat by dissecting *sterilized* owl pellets. Owls don’t have any teeth, so when they eat a creature, they swallow it whole: fur, bones, everything. Because of this, undigested fur and bones get spit back out into little pellets, known as “owl pellets”. Join the fun as we use our scientific exploration tools to ID the remains to see what was in the owl’s dinner.
