The upcoming RecFest! at India Basin Waterfront Park provides a fantastic opportunity for youth and families to engage with their community while promoting healthy lifestyles! Come out for a day of community during the long Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend! This event will feature a variety of classic recreational activities such as obstacle courses, kayaking, double Dutch, tetherball, badminton, recreation contests, and connections to community seniors. This event was informed by community seniors that suggested that kids today need to learn to play outside as much of their entertainment takes place through digital devices.
