  • Children's Discovery Museum 180 Woz Way San Jose, CA, 95110 United States (map)

Echoes of A Dream is an interactive presentation that uses the African storytelling style to invoke and pay tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m.
Lee & Diane Brandenburg Theatre

Animated with drumming, call and response, songs, and slide projection, this interactive fun, engaging and colorful presentation features Nigerian born folklorist and Oriki Arts’ visiting 2025 season artistic director, Dr. Olabisi Adigun.

In Echoes of A Dream, Oriki Arts takes us on a journey from a time before Dr. King, through his legacy and ends in the here and now. Fifty-six years after his death and more than 60 years after his famous “I have a Dream” speech, can we still hear the echoes of his dream?
