Discover Deer Island, 10am-1pm, A true wildlife refuge, where the hills meet the bay, this a great location for Red-shoulder hawk and White-tailed kite to nest, as well as Barn owls and Great-horned owls. There is also a variety of butterflies, some of which is dependent on the surrounding marsh habitat. It is also home to Alligator lizards and Gopher snakes, Wildcare Family Adenture.

Dissect Salmon! 10am & 1pm, ages 4-10, a hands-on exploration of one of California’s most famous fish! Learn about the unique life cycle of salmonids and create your own fish prints using a real Chinook salmon. Participants will also get to know salmon both inside and out during our naturalist-led dissection.
